ND YAG Laser Therapy
How exactly does the treatment work?
ND Yag Laser uses a 532nm which is ideal for lighter skin tone. It also uses a 1064 wave length which is ideal for darker skin type.
The Nd YAG laser crystal was developed not long after the discovery of the ruby laser in the 1960’s. Of all the solid-state laser crystals, it has stood the test of time best. Its high gain, narrow line width, low threshold and physical properties make it a most versatile laser material for a variety of applications.
The graph below is an example of how the ND Yag laser works when applied to the skin and the effectiveness of removing pigment granules.
The ND YAG Laser has outstanding success for all skin types (unlike many lasers that can’t be used on certain types of skin)
- Effectively lightens and removes hyper-pigmentation/spots caused by sun damage, acne scaring, aging, and liver spots
- Painless treatment with little to no recovery time
- Effective treatment for tattoo removal
The ND YAG Laser is a perfect tool for the removal of unwanted tattoos. We use dual wavelengths to remove all ink colors permanently from the skin. The 532nm wavelength is used for red, orange, and pink tones. The 1064nm wavelength is used for blacks, blues, and browns.
Where can you administer the procedure?
ND YAG Laser is effective on most areas. Routinely Beauty for Life performs this treatment on the face, neck, decolletage, arms, hands and any other area of the body showing hyper-pigmentation.
What to expect post-treatment
Please note that a slight redness in the skin is very common.
As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our team.
What is the result?
The result of RD YAG Laser varies for each client and skin type. Some will notice an immediate lightening of skin pigmentation, others can expect 3-6 treatments to notice significant reduction of hyper-pigmentation.
